The City of Marietta is accepting sealed bids on the following items which have been determined to be surplus to the needs of the City:

1989 Chevrolet Fire Apparatus (Brush Truck)*

2005 Ford Crown Victoria

2006 Dodge Charger

2011 Chevrolet Tahoe

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope on the form provided by the City.  Completed bid forms must be delivered to the City Hall by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at which time the envelope will be opened, and the bids read aloud.  All items will be sold to the highest bidder upon payment to the City of Marietta in the form of cash, money order, or certified check; personal checks or credit cards will not be accepted.  The highest bidder will be given fifteen (15) days from the date notified of their accepted bid to submit payment and take possession of the item(s).  If the highest bidder defaults on the bid, the item will be offered to the next highest bidder until the transaction is complete.  Any bid not properly submitted will be returned to the bidder and will not be considered by the City.

The City reserves the right to reject any bid the City deems unreasonable.  All items will be sold “as-is” with no warranty or guarantee.

*Any bid submitted by a local fire department, where said department is planning to use the apparatus to provide fire protection, will be given priority over any public bid.
