Contract Documents for Reinforced Concrete Box Replacement across Highway 32 and Main Street and Drainage Improvements on N. Front Street and Bill Halstied Street

Sealed bids for the replacement of a reinforced concrete box across State Highway 32 and Main Street and drainage improvements in the railroad right-of-way and along North Front Street and Bill Halstied Street in Marietta, Oklahoma will be received by the City of Marietta, 101 W. Main Street, Marietta, Oklahoma, 73448, (580) 276-5569 on the 13th day of February 2020 at 2:00 PM, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of mobilization, traffic control, excavation and embankment, replacement of a reinforced concrete box, replacement of corrugated galvanized metal pipes, sodding, replacement of sidewalk and curb and gutter, and striping, along with other miscellaneous appurtenances.

Copies of the contract documents may be obtained at the office of Fox Engineering, Inc., 211 E Street NW, P.O. Box 666, Ardmore, Oklahoma, 73402, upon payment of $75 for paper copy, $25 for digital copy.  The full amount is non-refundable.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by an acceptable for of proposal guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, as guaranty that if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the acceptable performance bond, statutory bond, maintenance bond, owner's protective liability policy, defect bond, and certificates of insurance within fifteen (15) days after the award of the contract.

The time allowed for completion of this project is 60 working days.

Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project within the allotted time or authorized extensions thereof, shall be $350 per working day.

The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, for the benefit of the owner.
